Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your Sentia experience. Sentia is a blend of concentrated botanicals and has a very strong taste indeed and therefore not palatable to everyone. However, there are many people who absolutely love the taste of Sentia especially in one of our specially crafted mocktail recipes which you can find in the following link : https://us.sentiaspirits.com/pages/mocktail-recipes. Have you perhaps tried mixing Sentia with your favourite mixer?
With regards Sentia's effect, we are sorry to hear that Sentia isn’t working for you right now, there could be a number of reasons for this:

Individual variances: Your GABA system is very much your own, and individual chemistry varies from person to person, so the experience of SENTIA will vary too.

Alcohol in system: Regular alcohol drinkers may have a high tolerance to GABA release, which will moderate the Sentia experience. Studies suggest that you can reset your tolerance to GABA release by refraining from drinking for 2 to 3 weeks.

SSRI’s: (Selective Serotonin Inhibitors) anti-psychotics, tranquillisers and some epileptic medications may inhibit the effects of SENTIA.

Expectations: SENTIA is not designed to get you “drunk”, but offer a more refined experience. All feelings are of course very subjective, and will vary from person to person.

Context: There is a great deal of scientific evidence indicating that drinking (or talking any mind altering substance) alone creates a very different effect from doing so socially. The science suggests the same will be true with SENTIA.

There are also other variants in the works, which customers may experience differently :)

We are sorry you did not enjoy drinking SENTIA Black. SENTIA is a concentrated blend of botanicals with a strong taste. While many people tell us they love and appreciate the resulting liquid, clearly we are all different. We do understand and appreciate that SENTIA, like any drink, cannot be to everyone's liking. We do hope that SENTIA Red will be more to your taste buds.

Effect - You mentioned a lack of effect and this can be for a number of reasons.
While we limit the strength of the active ingredients according to standards set by the Food Standards Authority, our individual chemistry (and especially our GABA system) is very much our own. Individual differences in DNA and physiology are further accentuated by diet, health and lifestyle. As a result tolerances vary from person to person, and so does our experience of SENTIA.

Alcohol in system - Alcohol consumption increases tolerance to GABA release and this is likely to moderate the SENTIA experience. Studies suggest that abstaining from alcohol for 2 to 3 weeks can help to reset our tolerance to GABA release.

Medication - SSRI’s (Selective Serotonin Inhibitors), anti-psychotics, tranquillisers and some epileptic medications may inhibit the effects of SENTIA.

Tolerance - Given the above, we do see a wide range in tolerance and of responses to SENTIA in the consumer reports that we receive. These range from ‘too strong’ through ‘just right’, to ‘little or no effect’.
As with taste, hopefully SENTIA Red will present a different result. Please do let us know how you get on.
